Radiation Monitoring
At present, the natural radiation background of territories, altered by geological and anthropogenic factors, may pose a significant environmental risk to human health. Therefore, during radiological examinations of various facilities, particular attention is paid to the inspection of industrial, public and residential buildings and premises.
The most important radiation-hazardous factors subject to monitoring include the ambient dose equivalent rate of gamma radiation and the volumetric activity of radon in the air of buildings and structures.
Aliya & Co LLP has its own accredited radiation monitoring laboratory, a team of qualified radiology specialists and the necessary technical equipment required to carry out radiation monitoring activities.
Main Areas of Radiation Monitoring
- Radiation monitoring of territories, premises, workplaces, goods, materials, scrap metal and vehicles.
- Determination of radionuclide content in products, materials and environmental objects, as well as measurement of radon concentration and other radioactive gases.
- Gamma surveying and other radiometric investigations of territories.
- Individual dosimetry monitoring of personnel.
- Quality control of instruments, equipment and installations generating ionizing radiation.
Individual Dosimetry Monitoring
Aliya & Co LLP provides individual dosimetry monitoring services to organizations engaged in activities involving sources of ionizing radiation.
When carrying out individual dosimetry monitoring of personnel, we follow four key priorities.
Priority 1. Meeting the Client’s Requests and Needs
We provide high-quality measurement of individual radiation doses using the modern DVG-02 TM thermoluminescent dosimetry system, which ensures reliable and accurate results. The capacity of the system makes it possible to reduce the individual dosimetry monitoring period to 2 days, excluding the time required for delivery of dosimeters. Aliya & Co LLP provides clients with individual dosimeters equipped with gamma and neutron detectors.
Priority 2. Reasonable Costs for the Client
The cost of individual dosimetry monitoring is determined individually on a contractual basis, taking into account the geographical location of the client organization, the duration of the contract, the scope of individual dosimetry monitoring and other terms of cooperation.
Priority 3. Convenience for the Client
After the individual dosimetry monitoring agreement has been concluded, individual dosimeters are sent to the client by mail or courier service.
The client is required to complete only three simple organizational steps: distribute the dosimeters to personnel, collect the dosimeters at the end of each quarter (3 months), and send the collected dosimeters to Aliya & Co LLP by mail or courier.
Priority 4. Client Feedback
After the measurements have been completed, the client is provided with an individual dosimetry monitoring report specifying the radiation doses received during the monitoring period by each employee working with sources of ionizing radiation.
